last post of 2011! (:
had a great 30th December; helped out at a student care for most part of the day, with pockets of little interesting conversations here and there, followed by dinner and more meaningful chats.
entered a rather reflective, and hence slightly stone-ish, state toward the end of dinner. somehow lots managed to float into my head little by little. thought-provoking topics here and there. my senses perking up once in a while while stoning just to listen in a little and then tune out (yet not really tune out) again. haha.
the topic of Love Languages came up during dinner today, and well, I got curious and did the test again.
Quality Time
In Quality Time, nothing says "I love you" like full, undivided attention. Being there for this type of person is critical, but really being there—with the TV off, fork and knife down, and all chores and tasks on standby—makes you feel truly special and loved. Distractions, postponed activities, or the failure to listen can be especially hurtful.
and then I realised that nothing much has changed, that Quality Time still remains my Love Language. ^^ Physical Touch and Word of Affirmation come in next, and damn, they switched places. where Touch used to be ahead, Words have now overtaken. hehe.
have been wanting to go to the airport these few days. just for some relaxation time, or maybe to do work there. essays and group projects piling up as soon as the term begins in about a weeks' time. desperate to chill a little before going haywire again. just somewhere nice and cool to curl up in a corner and while away some hours in the night since home isn't where I want to be as often nowadays. somewhere big and spacious to let me see the events of the year once again and think things through. mmmmm~ the airport sounds best.
2011's been a rough, but good year. a year of discovery, disappointments, friendships, hurts, and trusts. one definite resolution for the new year; to trust in Him, to start trusting myself.
